Planned Parenthood claims to care about women. When she was in her teens, investigative journalist Lila Rose wondered whether this was actually true. As an experiment, Rose called a handful of Planned Parenthood clinics, posing as a thirteen-year-old girl in a sexual relationship with a much older man.
Given this explicit information, Planned Parenthood had a legal obligation to report it to authorities. Instead, every clinic she called reacted in three ways. 1. They did not report it. 2. They told her to lie about her age when filling out their paperwork. 3. They offered her a discreet, secret abortion to eliminate the problem.

What Types of Healthcare does Planned Parenthood Offer Women?
- CANCER SCREENINGS?
They technically offer cancer screenings, but this is a very small percentage of what they do. Cancer screenings compose less than 2% of the nation’s total.
- BREAST EXAMS?
Again, yes, they offer breast exams, but this also counts towards less than 2% of the nation’s total.
- ULTRASOUNDS?
Nope. They only use ultrasounds to help them facilitate abortions.
Planned Parenthood claims to be all about family planning (it’s in the name, right?) and offering you a choice. If that were true, then ultrasounds would be common for pregnant women seeking to understand what is happening in their wombs.
But Planned Parenthood does not make money off ultrasounds; they make money off abortions. A lot. For that reason, they do not want you to know that your baby has a heartbeat at three weeks gestation; that at ten weeks,your baby can suck his/her thumb, swallow, touch his/her face, and stretch out in your womb.
They don’t want you to know that your unborn baby is a human being.
- ABORTION?
There was a time when Planned Parenthood talked about abortion like it was only a small percentage of what they offered: “safe, legal, and rare.” Now, they don’t even pretend to keep this up. Instead, they #shouttheirabortions.
Abortion is basically the only thing Planned Parenthood offers. They performed 383,460 abortions last year alone, which does not include at-home “pill” abortions (now the most common form of abortion).
Planned Parenthood’s annual report cites: “In 2019-20, abortions made up 96.6% of Planned Parenthood’s pregnancy resolution services, while prenatal services, miscarriage care, and adoption referrals accounted for only a small percentage of services offered. “
Does Planned Parenthood Prioritize Profit Over Women’s Healthcare?
Consider the facts. In its 2020-21 annual report, Planned Parenthood reported $1.7 billion in income and over $2.1 billion in net assets— an increase from the previous report.
Abby Johnson worked for Planned Parenthood for many years. She received regular promotions for one reason alone: she created piles of revenue by selling abortions. Having finally left the organization, Johson claims, “Planned Parenthood isn’t about healthcare, it’s about abortion.”
Johnson reveals that Planned Parenthood is a profit-driven organization interested only in the bottom line, rewarding workers for meeting their “abortion quota.” As journalist Lila Rose put it, “Abortion, not women’s health, is Planned Parenthood’s reason for being.”
Planned Parenthood’s claim to support women is nothing less than a straight-up scam.

Sex Abuse Cover-Up
So far from helping women, Planned Parenthood is explicitly complicit in harming women.
There is a growing mountain of research on this topic that Planned Parenthood conceals and covers up evidence of sexual abuse.

Reporters have uncovered many instances where Planned Parenthood aided and abetted sex traffickers. When former Planned Parenthood manager Ramona Trevino encountered this ugly truth, she left the organization and decided she could not keep silent. As one source cites, “it was clear that these two organizations (Planned Parenthood and sex traffickers) are running what is basically a nationwide pedophile protection ring.”
