Why We Pray
At Choices, we believe the battle for life can be won through prayer. Many of us have watched our society drift from defending life at the point of conception to a society with unrestricted abortion practices. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that 63,459,781 abortions have taken place in the United States since 1973..
Ultimately, we pray our country will seek repentance and forgiveness for what is being allowed and what has taken place. Along with that, Choices would like to ask people who are passionate about this ministry and believe in the power of prayer to join us in praying for our nation and for the defense of life reflected in our prayer requests below.
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Our Prayer Request
Pray for Women, Men, & the Unborn
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Pray for the women, men, and families that come through the doors of Choices – and all other pregnancy resource centers. Pray that our clients will not only choose life for their baby, but that they will choose life for themselves – and give their lives over to the Lord. Pray for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing for women and men that are hurting from a past abortion.
Pray for the Church
Ephesians 2:10
Pray for the Church, the Bride of Christ. Pray for the church to engage in this ministry – to reach lost and broken women and men. Pray that the church will not be deceived by the enemy and by the culture to waiver from this ministry. Pray for more churches to partner with Choices and other pregnancy resource centers to save lives and advance the Kingdom around us.
Pray for Choices & the Ministry
Proverbs 24:11-12
Pray for Choices and other pregnancy resource centers. Pray for the staff and volunteers at Choices and for their protection as opponents to Choices and other pregnancy centers are becoming more hostile. Pray for this unique ministry whose heart is for the client, their salvation, the life of the baby they are carrying, and the women and men suffering from an abortion in their past. Pray that God’s love will illuminate through Choices onto the clients that come through our doors.
Pray for the Culture
Jeremiah 29:7
Pray for our nation’s culture. Pray for the lost men and women whose eyes and hearts have been shrouded by the enemy. Pray that more women in an unplanned pregnancy and more post-abortive women and men will reach the doors of Choices. Pray that fear, shame, and all schemes of the enemy won’t stop clients from coming to Choices and receiving the help that they need. Pray that God’s creation of marriage and family will be restored.
