A pilot named Michael not only finds fulfillment in the art of flying but also dedicates his time to volunteer flights for an animal rescue group. His selflessness is commendable. Now with the overturn of Roe v. Wade, Michael has embarked on a new mission: assisting women in obtaining abortions.

While we can admire Michael’s actions in aiding animal rescue, the act of facilitating abortions stands in direct contradiction to the belief that every life deserves protection. Saving animals but terminating preborn babies…?

The question arises: Are the lives of animals worth more than human babies?

In a thought-provoking video by Live Action, found here, the organization addresses the dichotomy between people’s responses regarding saving human babies or animals. By presenting two petitions, one to save puppies and the other to end abortion, Live Action captures intriguing reactions from passers-by.

For instance, during a particular encounter, a passerby was asked to sign a petition aimed at preventing puppies from being euthanized in overcrowded shelters. They were informed that if the shelter exceeded its maximum capacity, a pregnant dog and her puppies would be killed. The woman readily signed the petition, demonstrating genuine concern for the well-being of these animals. However, when asked if she would also sign a petition to halt abortion in South Carolina, her immediate reaction underwent a marked change.

People who previously showed enthusiasm for saving animals hesitate or decline to sign the petition for saving children. Some respondents choose not to engage in the discussion, while others prioritize their love for dogs over the protection of preborn human lives. Some even argue that they consider abortion to be healthcare.

While protecting and caring for animals is undoubtedly a noble cause, it is concerning that the value placed on animal lives often surpasses that of human lives. In states and nations where abortion is legal, legislators are making efforts to pass bills to protect animals, granting them rights typically reserved for humans.

Animals Over Preborn Babies?

  • In 2021, the UK government; included lobsters, crabs, octopuses, and related species in the Animal Welfare (Sentience) Bill, legally safeguarding them from being boiled alive.
  • Yet also, in the UK, it is legally permissible to dismember preborn children during second-trimester abortions.
  • Moreover, various groups have advocated for dolphin rights, classifying them as “non-human persons” based on scientific evidence of their self-awareness, intelligence, emotions, and personalities.
  • California introduced a bill of rights for cats and dogs, granting them the same legal rights and protections as human beings, including freedom from neglect and abuse. Paradoxically, California also stands as one of the most pro-abortion states in the U.S., with Governor Gavin Newsom actively working to establish the state as an abortion destination.
